Match smarter, not harder
Matching your organization’s activity data to the correct emission factors just got a whole lot easier. Our Match Tool has always been a reliable way to find the data you need, but now, with the addition of our AI-powered search solution, it’s smarter and more intuitive than ever.
The enhanced Match Tool doesn’t just search for exact matches; it understands the meaning behind your words. This means you can describe an activity in your own terms, without worrying about precise wording or word order, and the tool will find the relevant emission factors. For example, whether you type “natural gas” in English or “aardgas” in Dutch, the tool recognizes they mean the same thing.
You can also refine your results with filters such as year or country, giving you even greater control over your search. By combining AI-driven text search with these filtering options, the updated Match Tool makes it faster and easier to pinpoint the right data for all your activities.
Enhancing ESG Data Management
Managing ESG data can be daunting, especially with extensive datasets. Our dynamic filtering option addresses this challenge head-on.
Depending on your business, you could have thousands of rows of data, which can be overwhelming to analyse manually. We designed this feature to enhance your user experience by streamlining data navigation and comparison, making it easier than ever to gain the insights you need.
The filters are available at the places on our platform where your data is stored in tables and/or graphs:
We offer filters for every data point, allowing you to refine your data with multiple, specific criteria. For instance, you can filter by the name of an activity and its date. While we default to the current reporting year, you can select another year or a specific period of interest. In the calculated results, you can easily choose the units for comparison, ensuring you don’t end up comparing square meters (m²) to carbon dioxide (CO₂).
Collect data from the people who know your organization
Collecting data for organizations with numerous legal entities can be challenging, particularly when dealing with various data points. Our survey module is designed to simplify this process by centralizing data entry directly within Salacia, eliminating the need for disparate Excel sheets. This tool is especially beneficial for large organizations with different smaller legal entities that cannot automate their data collection processes. With the survey module, you can send surveys to people that are the experts within your different entities.
In the survey, you select relevant sections tailored to your needs, such as purchasing electricity. If you confirm, you’ll be guided to the appropriate data input section.
Our smart solution addresses data gaps efficiently, by supporting various data units. For instance, if you lack kWh information, you can provide office space in square meters, and we will calculate emissions based on averages. Additionally, if you have specific emission factors from suppliers such as travel agencies, you can input them directly into the survey, reducing the manual data gathering workload.
Once data is submitted, it is sent to designated reviewers who can verify and request additional information if necessary. The survey participant can also attach proof documents if required for double-checking. Upon approval, the data is saved exactly where you need it, ready for further calculations performed by our tool and analysis in your personal dashboard.
